I tell all my couples the same thing. In a couple of years you won’t remember what the cake tasted like, how the dress felt, how tan you were, or what the flowers looked like.
You will remember when the flower girl turned the corner, realized everyone was staring at her and ran away. You will remember when your partner got the giggles and couldn’t finish their vows. You will remember how awesome your friend is because they drove an hour away to get the marriage license you left sitting on the kitchen table (it is the only legally required part of getting married and everyone forgets it).
Telling people rarely to “stop stressing” doesn’t work. Instead, when you start to stress do some box breathing and meditate on all the things you have to be grateful for
